What is Jaundice?

Jaundice in newborns is common.  The technical term is hyperbilirubinemia which simply means the body has too much (hyper) bilirubin. The liver is responsible for removing bilirubin, however; some newborns liver need to "catch up" on the processing of the excess bilirubin.  Some babies will require treatment to help the body process the excess bilirubin and a biliblanket is a possible solution.  Your babies pediatrician will determine of the treatment is necessary and therefore may recommend a machine, called a biliblanket.  We provide phototherapy machines called "BiliBlankets" for the treatment of jaundice in newborns and we are here to serve you and your baby.

We have first hand knowledge of our children's doctors notifying us such treatment was necessary.  You can learn more about our story by clicking here.

What is jaundice and why does my baby have it?

Here is a good video about jaundice and why babies get it.   THIS DOCTOR IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH BILIBLANKET RENTALS. We just think his video is good.
