WHAT IS BABY JAUNDICE?
Jaundice in newborns is common. The technical term is hyperbilirubinemia which simply means the body has too much (hyper) bilirubin. The liver is responsible for removing bilirubin, however some newborn livers need to “catch up” on the processing of the excess bilirubin. Some babies require treatment to help the body process the excess bilirubin. Your baby’s pediatrician will determine the treatment necessary and therefore may recommend phototherapy treatment. We provide phototherapy machines called “Bili Blankets” for the treatment of baby jaundice and we are here to serve you and your baby with thsi simple at-home treatment.
We have first-hand knowledge of our children’s doctors notifying us such treatment was necessary. You can learn more about our story by clicking below.
